Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection is actually two complete games on one disc. Hyper Street Fighter 2 Anniversary Edition, and Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.

HSF2 AE is an enhanced version of Super SF2 Turbo with the option to play with animation/move sets from previous SF2 games. Third Strike is the last in the Street Fighter 3 series and is known for highly detailed animation. Both games are entirely sprite based.

Both games are playable on the X360. They play in widescreen when the 360 is set to an HD resolution. Both games are playable online.

The bonus materials in HSF2 AE work as well - all three soundtracks are intact and the SF2 Animated Movie plays through to the end.

The following glitches are known with Street Fighter Anniversary Collection:

In SF3 Third Strike:

Slowdown occurs when a character high jumps/double jumps/wall jumps to the second tier of the screen.

When a round is won, the final hit sound reverb effect continues about a second too long

In some stages, background elements flicker - the car bonus stage (the tires on the car) the parry bonus stage (the water from the hydrant and the guy sitting on the top of the fence) in Chun Li's stage, the old men drinking tea flicker during win poses.

During the opponent select screen, the blue triangles flicker and get blocky.

Xbox 360 BC Compatibility as of April 23 2007

While Microsoft publishes a list of Xbox games that are compatible with the Xbox 360 at http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm that list does not really go into detail about whether or not there are issues with the games. It is my hope that the community can come together and provide a more detailed list - which can help gamers figure out their Xbox1 purchases and help MS figure out where to apply fixes to the issues as time goes on.

On April 19 2007 MS released the latest BC patch for the X360. At this time, the patch is on Xbox Live, so if your 360 is connected, simply putting any original Xbox game into your 360 will result in your machine getting the latest version of the BC emulator. For everyone else, you can download the latest patch here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibilityredirect.htm

This update added a lot of highly requested, fan favorite titles like Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, King of Fighters NEOWAVE, Phantom Dust and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

I will be posting detailed bug/glitch reports for the Xbox1 titles that I own based on this update. I invite everyone else to help me fill in gaps for titles I don't own or things I may have missed in titles I do own.

I don't want this to be taken or used as a criticism of MS's Back compat efforts - emulating the Xbox (which is a pretty powerful machine in it's own right) on completely different architecture is a feat in and of itself and probably the most impressive piece of software on the 360 (yeah, more impressive than Gears of War) and definately proves the 360 is a beast of a machine. My hope is that this can become a community effort that helps support the BC team in finding errors and glitches.
